2012 marks the 75th Anniversary of the incorporation of Grantwood Village. One way we are commemorating the occasion is a historical book depicted the early years, residents, homes, and events throughout our 75 years and beyond. Please see this letter which was also included in the Spring Newsletter for items needed to compile the book, and also pass along to former residents.

The American Kidney Foundation will be collecting items throughout the Village on Tuesday, April 13. This is a great opportunity to donate items to this charity before the Bulky Waste Pickup the next day (Wednesday, April 14). Items for either event can be placed at the curb the night before pickup. Any items the Kidney Foundation cannot use will be left for Bulky Waste Pickup.
We will begin placing small signs at all entrances to remind residents of upcoming events, like elections, meetings, bulky waste pickup, etc.
Discussion was continued on a possible adoption of a Sewer Lateral Insurance program. Possible options include joining the current St. Louis County program, joining another municipality's program, or, if deemed financially unfeasible, not implemented. These options will continued to be explored and discussed at future meetings.
Trustee Biffignani thanked Captain John Belmar for his service to the 3rd Precinct and recognized incoming Captain, Mike Dierkes . Grantwood Officer Dan Davis was also recognized for his 10 years of service to the St. Louis County Police Department.
The Spring newsletter will be sent to Villagers in the coming weeks. It will also be available for download on our website.
